I Dance (my poem)

TO DANCE IS TO PERFORM

 Perform anyway you can

 using everything as your STAGE

and your BODY to produce the beauty of the MUSIC forever

I Dance

I dance. I am an artist.The stage is my canvas, my body a paint brush, the music my paint.

I dance. I am a writer. The stage is my paper, my body a pen, the music my words.

I dance. I am a singer. The stage is my microphone, my body my voice, the music my lyrics.

I dance. I am a musician. The stage is my guitar, my body the strings, the music my melody.

I dance. I am a teacher. The stage is my classroom, my body my lessons, the music my wisdom.

I dance. I am an eagle. The stage is the sky, my body my wings, the music my flight.

I dance. I am a mirror. The stage is my reflection, my body my image, the music my beauty.

I dance. I am a candle. The stage is my wax, my body the flame, the music my light.

I dance. I am a pastor. The stage is my bible, my body my prayers, the music is Jesus.

I dance. I am a mother. The stage are my children, my body my bond, the music my love.

I dance. I am a dancer. The stage is my home, my body my instrument, the music my soul.

I wrote this poem for my oldest daughter, Kylie, who is blessed with the spiritual gift of dance, teaching dance, doing choreography and inspiring young people to find Jesus, live their lives for Christ and to become the best people they can be.
