Grander than Grand — a poem and a baby

Her grandness is grander than grand…

As I snuggle her perfect newborn body,

her delicate head rests on my shoulder

as the warmth from her new life rejuvenates my own.

Each one of her breaths

calmly whispers

love and joy into my soul–

erases the heartache

and reverses the decay.

Leora Bravely

is my granddaughter

and she is

much more

grander

than

grand.

I proudly announce the arrival of my first granddaughter

who born to my oldest child and daughter

Kylie and her husband Dennis.

Leora Bravely Williams

was born on

Saturday, August 3, 2019

at 11:30 p.m.

and weighed a healthy

pounds 4 ounces.

An interesting tidbit about Leora’s weight is that my family guessed her weight before she was born and I guessed it correctly.

I guess a grandma knows best.

My family and I are all beyond words blessed and I love her so much.

Everyone told me being a Grandma was the best and they were absolutely right.

Leora is much more grander than grand….
