As the Tsunami of mental illness struck,
my life turned into a whirlwind of pain, confusion and loss.
Destruction was everywhere–interfering with my ability to see the beauty of life.
Soon I became a survivor–surviving, but not fully living.
My voice only a whisper at first,
soon turned into a loud whisper,
which echoed into loud whispers of hope,
evenually transforming into a lasting hope–
a hope that transpired into my reality.
Once a I climbed over the threshold of wellness, my survivor mode dissipated and transformed into joy, understanding and spiritual wealth.
Today, I inhale each new breath of life with awesome wonder
and exhale joy–
a non-interfered beauty, bliss and love of this gift of a reborn life I have been given.
