The Fabric of Me

The fabric of me

is nothing you can see with the naked eye.

The fabric of me

was woven before I could see with my own eye.

The fabric of me

is what I want you to see without your eye.

I want you to know, feel and sense

the presence, power, love and beauty

of the Holy Spirit living inside me.

When you meet me or read my words,

I pray God’s love will shine through me

and touch you so you can feel and see

the beauty and love God made inside me.

It’s not what you can see–

it’s the beauty of what lies within me

that makes the fabric of me.

The fabric of me

is God.

      1. Thank you so much!! I’ve been following your blog for a while and am happy to see how you are using your experience to help others and increase awareness. So much about mental illness people don’t know about.

      2. I peeked at your blog and want to read all of it. It looks wonderful and your children are beautiful. I hope to have more time to read again soon now that I am finally finished writing my memoir–just have to work and pray I can find an agent now. Be blessed… I can tell you are.

  1. I really like this poem. My boyfriend basically tells me in a round about way that I’m woven from a different kind of fabric than everyone else. There’s a lot of things within my personality that sets me apart from everyone else. It’s my biggest strength but sometimes my biggest weakness. It can my best dream but also my worst nightmare. Thank you so much for creating and sharing this poem!
