It’s that time of the year again.
It’s November and for many writers, including myself, that means it’s time for:
I participated in NaNoWriMo in 2017 and became a winner as I wrote 66,000 words during the month of November and completed the first draft of my memoir. I edited and revised my memoir since then, but I am not entirely happy with it. So, I am going to rewrite my memoir again in the month of November.
During November I want to complete my novel—my memoir, again. But, this time it will be a much better version of my story. I want to add more to my memoir and remove some of it. I have been studying how to improve my writing a lot since then and I am super excited about writing and participating in NaNoWriMO again this year. I will be joining other writers in my local area that are also participating in NaNoWriMo. We meet at coffee shops and other restaurants to encourage and motivate each other. I am excited to meet some new people who have the same interests as me and love of writing.
I suppose I will be cheating in a way because I wrote a first draft and will be taking bits and pieces from it, but it will not be the same. I am excited to rewrite it again because I have been researching how to write a good novel and have a better idea of how I want my book to look. I am super excited and cannot wait until that new and improved first chapter is completed because after that I know the rest will start flowing easily.
Last year, participating with NaNoWriMo helped me significantly because it kept me motivated to keep writing. Otherwise, I tend to lose focus. Once I have a goal to achieve, I usually try my hardest to bring it to fruition.
Because I will be attempting to write over 50,000 words in November, I will not have much time to write for my blog, but I will keep you updated on my progress and may write a post or two. I just wanted to let you know that even though it may seem like I am away and taking a break from my writing that in fact the opposite is true. I will be writing even more, but will be taking a break from my blog. I will concentrate all my thoughts and effort into writing my best work this November participating in NaNoWriMO 2018 with thousands of other writers.
My son in-love, Dennis will be participating with me. I am looking forward to this month of November and even more excited for the end of November with the completion of over 50,000 words and my completed finished novel—my memoir.
Please let me know if any of you are participating in NaNoWriMo. It is a great experience. Please join me and get ready to…

I now understand what this means thanks to this blog, I have been seeing it throughout the web. Good luck with your memoir and don’t give up. It took me eight years to complete mine and I loved it. I like rewriting too.
