Compliment it Forward

Pay it forward is an expression for describing the beneficiary of a good deed repaying it to others instead of to the original benefactor. The concept is old, but the phrase may have been coined by Lily Hardy Hammond in her 1916 book In the Garden of Delight.

The simplest way to define “pay it forward” is that when someone does something for you, instead of paying that person back directly, you pass it on to another person instead.

Compliment it forward is the same idea. When someone gives you a compliment, repay it back by giving a compliment to someone else. It will have a beautiful ripple effect.

When you help others essentially you are helping yourself. When you give compliments and positive affirmations to others essentially you are creating positiveness and joy inside yourself. By making someone else feel good you make yourself feel good.

Give it a try…

Pay it forward…

Compliment it forward…

“You are beautiful. You have a great heart. I love your blog. I love you. You are strong. You are a great person. You have a beautiful spirit. You are a talented writer. I appreciate you. I admire all of you.” Much love and hugs, Sue

You get the idea…

    1. Thank you for the nomination. I am flattered and honored and I will definitely do this. I haven’t completed any awards for a while not because I am not honored. I love them but have not managed my time well enough lately. I am going to make a point of trying to complete this, especially since you want to hear some of my answers to your questions. I appreciate your very kind and encouraging words. Thank you again for your nomination. Much love and hugs, Sue
