I Changed My Bipolar Wardrobe

Dressed in dreary, dark, depression clothing for too long.

Time to change my wardrobe, persevere and be strong.

My bipolar depression clothing has become tattered and torn,

an ugly outfit that never fit me, but for many years I have worn.

Depression caused sadness, emptiness and loneliness. I was forlorn .

Survived another depression episode. Praise God. I have been reborn.

Dug myself out of my grave,

fought hard, had to be brave

Beat my depression battle and climbed up above,

rejoicing, as once again, I feel happiness and love.

Finally reached my other mood pole and am hypomanic,

changing between depression and mania is never automatic,

but the difference is life-changing, life-saving, gigantic,

absolutely amazing, miraculous, and beyond fantastic.

I pray I will stay healthy and well,

preferably forever, only time will tell.

I pray someday there will be a cure,

keep fighting, only God knows for sure.

    1. Thank you for the reblog. I appreciate it. By the way. I love to wear black… I was just using the colors figuratively… hahaha… Black is beautiful and I tend to wear a lot of black. I love to wear the color black as I have dark hair etc. So if it makes you feel good to wear dark colors keep doing it. Wear what makes you happy, of course. I am sure you look beautiful in whatever you wear. Mostly wear love and share your love with others….

      1. It is great to be able to read about others living with depression. There are so many different diagnoses of mental illness. I feel like I can connect to most of them. It is extra awesome to get a great compliment from authors such as yourself. Thank you so much!

      2. Wow! That was just the best compliment you could give me. Thank you very much. I do not feel like I am a great writer. I sure wish I was a better writer… I just have a great story to tell, but thank you from the bottom of my heart for saying that. You made my day. By the way, I have peaked at your blog and I can tell it is a good one. I am going to read more of it in a little bit… I promise. I am looking forward to it. Have a happy, healthy and fabulous day. Hugs, Sue

      3. It is difficult to keep up and read all the posts of blogs I love, but I eventually get back to the blogs, read and re-read sometimes. My reason for writing has certainly changed in such a short time. Thank you again. Have a great day.

I love to read other posts but have been so busy lately and plus was not feeling well… but now I am better and hope to get back to reading more blogs and posts etc. Blessings to you.
