Stop Hiding Inside the Closet of Your Mind (Daily Word Prompt is Hidden)

If you keep your secrets hidden inside you, it’s like you are holing a grenade.d

Your pain and struggles will multiply and soon your grenade will explode.

A closet is no place to hide. Open your door wide.

A closet is small, dark and messy.

You are full of life, bright and beautiful.

Open your locked closet door,

set yourself free and soar.

Don’t keep yourself hidden,

inside your own prison.

Take your armor and shield off.

It is not protecting you anymore.

Share your story and all God’s glory.

Be your own voice, there is no other choice.

Be honest with yourself and others.

Be real.  Be honest. Be authentic. Be you.

Never apologize for being yourself.

Never apologize for speaking the truth.

It is your truth. It is real. It is your beautiful story to tell.

Your story was planned and written by God.

You are just retelling the story He has already written about your life.

If God is the author, your story must be a testimony to be shared.

When you hide inside the closet of your mind,

your thoughts and story, we can never find.

Your story is awesome, the only one of its kind.

Don’t let your story be lost and hidden with you alone.

Share you. Share yourself. Share your story.

Be a voice to be listened to. Be a voice to be heard.

Educate, inspire, encourage, be an example and give hope.

Stop the explosion of mental illness, stigma and suicides.

No more pain, sorrow, loneliness, shame and blame.

Don’t hide inside the closet of your mind and stop holding grenades.

Open your closet door, let people in and share your story and who you are.

Then there will be no more hiding and holding grenades that exploded in closets.

“There are two kinds of secrets. Those we hide from others and those we hide from ourselves.” ~unknown
