it is very real.
Mental illness is not over there,
it is here.
Mental illness is not only them,
it is us, it is you, it is me.
I am the 1 in 5 people who have mental illness.
Mental illness is the reflection staring back at me, when I look in the mirror.
Mental illness is in my home and in my family,
it is in your home and your family,
Mental illness is our friends,
the strangers living next door,
people in our neighborhood,
in our city, in our country, in our world.
Mental illness is local,
it is national,
it is global.
Mental illness is everywhere
and it affects us all,
every minute of every day.
Be aware and care.
Make a choice and be a voice
to make a difference in the lives of many.
