Composing a Symphony of Words (Daily Word Prompt is Relieved)

Sometimes when I write,

I close my eyes,

thinking and visualizing

my thoughts as I type them,

moving my body in a circular motion,

as if I am stroking the keys of a piano,

instead of typing out the letters

on my computer keyboard,

hopefully composing

a beautiful symphony of words

of artistry and imagery

that can be visualized and heard

within one’s mind and imagination.

Writing is therapeutic for me

setting my mind, heart and soul free,

from thoughts, memories and sights

of many painful and fearful nights.

Too many things I have grieved,

but with my writing I feel relieved.

I am thankful to tell my bipolar story,

and am blessed, giving God all the glory.

“The writer’s silent mind is a period of intermission before orchestrating a symphony of words.” ~ Khaled Talib

“There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.” ~ Earnest Hemingway
