There are Many Portions of My Life (Daily Word Prompt is Portion)

Our lives can be divided into many different portions that combine together to create our entire life, each portion necessary to make us into the complete person we are today.

There are many portions of my life that are wonderful

and many portions of my life that are bad.

There are many portions of my life that I absolutely adore and cherish

and many portions of my life when I felt scared, unhappy and unloved.

There are portions of my life when I was healthy,

and there are portions of my life when I was severely ill.

There are portions of my life I want to remember forever,

and there are portions of my life I wish never happened and I want to forget forever.

I wish I could remove the bad portions of my life as if they had never happened.

However, we can never remove a portion of our lives from ourselves. as each portion of our lives forms us into the complete person we are, exactly as we are, exactly as God created us and always intended us to be.

If we removed even a miniscule portion of who we are, then we would not be whole.

A portion is part of a whole.

Many portions are needed to create a whole.

A whole is all in one piece, in an unbroken undamaged state.

When we forgive some portions of our lives,

accept and embrace each portion of our lives

and learn to love each portion of who we are,

it is then that we become WHOLE.

  1. This is such a wonderful reflection on the daily prompt. It reminds us to take the good and bad experiences together… everything we go through contributes to who we are now. ❤
