Suicide:
- Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S.
- Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death for people aged 10–24.
- Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for people aged 15–24.
- More than 90% of children who die by suicide have a mental health condition.
- Each day an estimated 18-22 veterans die by suicide.
This is horrific and breaks my heart. We MUST do something about this NOW.
I will be posting something important about mental illness every day throughout the month of May on my blog in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month.
Please keep visiting my blog My Loud Bipolar Whispers and look for statistics or other beneficial information related to mental illness to increase awareness, educate, reduce mental illness stigma and reduce suicides.
It is crucial and imperative for all of us to get involved and save lives.
So, please visit my blog every day, but especially every day throughout the month of May.
Thank you. Hugs and blessings to all of you always and forever.

You are very welcome. Yes are wholeheartedly agree with you. This one is the worst and breaks my heart… And the statistics could be even higher than this… because suicide continues to increase especially with young people and veterans.

It is heartbreaking. I truly hope that as the stigma lessens, that people will feel more comfortable getting help. I know it’s not that easy though. Just sad.

It is very sad and we need more money spent on research and for more successful professional and clinical programs in our society, better and improved education for doctors and medical help to fight the problem!!!

We need more compassion in society and more voices and people to open up about mental illness and suicide so people understand the seriousness of this illness and problem!!!

Yes, it’s important for people to speak out, to talk about mental illness, so people won’t hesitate to reach out for help. We need to end the stigma!

Reblogged this on J-Dubs Grin and Bear It and commented:
Sharing for awareness. Wishing she was 25. Delusional Thinking I know. Still I pray daily that my kid does not become a statistic. All part of waiting for the other shoe to drop.
