I chose to show many of Carrie Fisher’s quotes because I think they are very good and I can relate to so many of them. I guess that is because there are so many similarities of living with severe Bipolar Disorder. I love how she can put “me” into words.
I don’t hate hardly ever, and when I love, I love for miles and miles. A love so big it should have a capital and its own currency.

Sometimes you can only find heaven by slowly backing away from Hell.
Some women play hard to get, I play difficult to understand.
Instant gratification takes too long.
It makes you go very fast or very sad.
I love solo performance because co-stars are so-affordable and easy to work with.
I’m very sane about how crazy I am.

Bipolar Disorder can be a great teacher. It’s a challenge, but it can set you up to be able to do almost anything else in your life.
I’m fine, but I’m Bipolar. I’m on 7 medications and I take medications 3 times a day. This constantly puts me in touch with the illness I have. I’m never quite allowed to be free of that for a day. It’s like being a diabetic.
Stay afraid, but – DO IT ANYWAY. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it. and eventually the confidence will follow.
Take your broken heart, make it into art.
