There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” — Maya Angleou

I began writing my blog because I love to write and be creative. Also, my greatest passion in life is to help others in as many ways as I can. I want to and need to write this blog to increase awareness, educate and reduce and eliminate the stigma of mental illness and bipolar disorder which I pray will help reduce the alarmingly increasing rate of suicides in this country and worldwide.

I am writing my blog so I can share the story of my journey of living with and surviving Bipolar Disorder 1 with rapid cycling and mixed episodes, PTSD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Personality Disorder. That is a lot of labels. Whew!

I want my blog to be full of facts and educational information about bipolar disorder as well as sharing my story of living with my severe bipolar symptoms from my past, present and what will be in my future hoping to educate others and by sharing my story other bipolar survivors will know they are not alone. I will always write my blog with honesty, compassion, humor and be as positive as possible.

God saved my life too many times to count. I am alive today only because of Him. You have to have a test before you can have a testimony. Bipolar Disorder is definitely my test and I have a beautiful testimony, story and journey I need to share. Thank you Jesus. I am praying that by sharing my testimony of being saved by Jesus Christ that I can lead others or even one person to find, know and love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Also, to be honest I am in the process of writing my memoir and have heard now days that it is necessary and very beneficial to have exposure online to give publishers and others a glimpse of your writing style, ability and what your memoir or story is about. It is my dream to get my my memoir published somehow, someway and someday soon. Everyone needs to have dreams and that is one of mine.

My advice for bloggers is to always be honest and true to yourself when writing. Also, always try to use some humor when writing as often as you can. Be passionate, dedicated and inspired to learn more each day as there is so much more to learn everyday from your own writing and from reading other blogs as well.

It has helped me greatly to use The Daily Word Prompt Post as often as I can. I try to use it everyday and relate the daily word prompt to bipolar disorder in some way. Other times I write about the love I have for my three children, love, life, God, blessings and a variety of other things as well.

Also read as many other blogs as often as you can and try to comment on them as well. You will learn a lot about writing and about blogging from other bloggers and will be very inspired by so many beautiful, inspirational, touching, loving and heartfelt stories from so many other beautiful and awesome bloggers. You can find many bloggers with similar interests as you. They are out there. Enjoy. Happy reading and blogging.

May your blessings overflow each and every minute of everyday forever and always!
